Picture this: you and your family are sitting at a large dining table inside an historic American bed and breakfast near a table overflowing with turkey, homemade stuffing, farm fresh vegetables, home-made desserts, and Virginia’s finest wines and beers. Thanksgiving at The Holladay House has an abundance of food and fellowship without the pre-dinner shopping or post-dinner clean-up.

While we are in the business of helping people make holidays out of ordinary weekends and celebrating special occasions, Thanksgiving is undeniably our favorite holiday to entertain. We open our inn to guests who want to join us, including our own family and close friends.

This year will be our 14th annual Thanksgiving dinner and we would love for you and your family to join us. Our dinner begins at 6:30 p.m. and includes many of our beloved favorites like locally roasted turkey and ham, our special mashed potatoes, house-made apple pie, as well as all of the traditional Thanksgiving fixings. You can reserve your seat at our table for $59/person and we welcome everyone in your family, including kids, to join us.

Since this is a busy weekend not only at The Holladay House but throughout the area, we do require a two-night minimum stay. This gives you a chance to take advantage of Black Friday among some of the best local shops, and support our robust community on Small Business Saturday. If you choose to stay a third night, we will take 20% off of your entire stay – use code HOLIDAY20 to take advantage of this offer.

In addition to our Thanksgiving dinner and supporting our small business community, there is so much to do this time of year in Central Virginia. The hiking is perfect any time of day, so you don’t have to wake up early to beat the heat, and the leaves are typically still showing off. You can also take in some of America’s history at nearby attractions like Montpelier, Monticello, and Highland. We will also make sure to have football on the in-room T.V.’s for those of you who can’t celebrate Thanksgiving without a little pigskin, too.

We are currently accepting reservations for Thanksgiving now, so don’t wait to book your stay. We can’t wait to host you and your family around our table this year.
