Kimberly Barr has been with us since May 2010. She works tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure that all our guests have a clean and comfortable experience.
Kim has lived in Orange County all her life, and appreciates the local small-town atmosphere. She supports her community by volunteering for the animal shelter, the Orange County Friends of the Fair, and Celebrate Orange. She's a sharp student (as evidenced by her recent acceptance into the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society for academic achievement) and has a deep appreciation for history and the liberal arts. When we ask Kim what she likes doing when she's not working here at the inn, we usually get a variety of answers. When she's feeling humble, she gives the impression that she enjoys doing "nothing" whenever possible, spending time with her "exceedingly indolent cats," and "looking thoughtfully at her bike" -- that is, when she's not busy writing the next great American novel, practicing yoga, cooking, hiking, or otherwise experiencing all that Orange County has to offer!
Most recently, Kim has expanded her role at the Holladay House and has become the principal contributor to our blog. Given her interest in writing and photography (she claims that she prefers to "take pictures of landscapes but not people, because landscapes don't say Cheese on command"), we thought she'd be perfect. So, please check out our blog and comment freely!
If you see Kim during your stay, make sure to thank her for all her hard work. We thank her whenever we think to do so, but I'm sure that's not enough!
