Throughout the year, the Holladay House offers interesting travel packages and events to coincide with federal holidays and seasonal activities. We are always adding new ones, so check back often! Below is a listing of some of our popular and well-established events. They fill up quickly, though, so book in advance!
Valentine's Day Special

Senior Special!
If you are over 62, stay with us anytime between June 2-13, 2013 or September 1-12, 2013 and receive 15% off your stay, get a choice of 3 bedtime snacks delivered to your room, and receive a free tour of the Orange Commercial Historic District (weather permitting!) Subject to availability; you must mention this special when making your reservation; not combinable with other offers.
Independence Day "Hops and Chops"
July 4th is one of our favorite holidays, and our annual Independence Day Hops and Chops celebration is one of our most popular events of the year!
Join us Friday, July 5th to drink local micro-brewed craft beers (the Hops), feast on locally-raised meat (the Chops: beef, pork, and mutton, expertly prepared a variety of ways) and dive into Sharon’s "family secret" homemade apple pie (Virginia wine also available)!
And if you’ll be here July 4th, enjoy music at Keswick Vineyard’s annual Red, White and Blues event, then head over to a local park in Orange for free music and fireworks! Stay a third night and we’ll take 50% off your third night stay OR fourth night FREE!
To participate, just say "Hops and Chops" when you make your reservation! The Hops and Chops feast is only $39 per person!

Thanksgiving
Join our family for our 8th annual Thanksgiving dinner. At 6:30 pm, begin feasting upon free-range turkey, lots of side dishes, desserts and great conversation! Dinner is $39/person.
Make a long weekend out of it and do some holiday shopping at unique shops and wineries!
Stay with us a second consecutive night, we will take 25% off your second night stay. If you stay with us a third consecutive night, we will take 50% off your third night stay. Both offers cannot be combined. Subject to availability.
Veteran's Day
The Holladay House is honored to participate in the Thank You Veterans Project. To be placed on the waiting list for 2013, please contact the innkeeper. When the Thank You Veterans Project releases the 2013 date, we will call everyone on the waiting list first.
To make a reservation, contact us directly. When you arrive, we'll need to see your applicable military ID.
Elegant New Year's Eve
Stay at the Holladay House Bed and Breakfast on New Year's Eve, get gussied up, and head to one of four acclaimed restaurants nearby. Choose from
- a tantalizing 5-course locally-sourced menu at Elmwood at Sparks (only one block away!)
- a 5-course wine-pairing feast with Palladio Restaurant at Barboursville Winery with sparkling wine toast
- an exquisite hors d'oeuvres buffet, 4-course Virginia wine-pairing dinner, and dessert buffet with sparkling wine toast with the Inn at Meander Plantation, or
- a gourmet multi-course dining experience plus champagne toast at Vintage.
Breakfast is served later than usual the next morning and will include some specialty drinks to start your New Year off right!
